Apple & Pear Cinnamon Porridge
There is no better start for the day than a warm breakfast that provides you with long-lasting energy and vitamins. Porridge is an easy, healthy brekkie with a lot of variations, here is one of my (winter)-favorites.
For 1 portion take:
40 g oats
3/4 cup / 200 ml milk of your choice (coconut, almond, dairy, organic soy)
2 pinches of cinnamon
1 small apple or 1/2 large apple of your choice
2 tspns agave nectar or honey
In a small pot, let the oats, milk and cinnamon come to boil slightly, then simmer for a few minutes while stirring until it gets creamy.
Set aside, leave it while you cut the fruits.
Serve in a bowl and top with fruits, a sprinkle of agave nectar or honey and walnuts.
You can also add some yoghurt to your taste.
For the extra delicious walnut-topping:
Chop roughly and roast the walnuts in a small pan for some minutes, then add honey when still warm, then turn off the heat.
Not only your taste buds will love this stomach-warming brekkie.
